I’ve always wanted to try panda-yaki when I go to Yahiko.

パンダ焼きは新潟でかなり有名なお菓子です。
弥彦で食べられます。
第1回ニッポン全国おやつランキンググランプリを受賞したおやつです。
新潟では弥彦に行ったら絶対パンダ焼きを、という感じだと思います。

Panda-yaki is quite a famous snack in Niigata.
You can eat it in Yahiko.
This snack won the Grand Prix in the 1st Nippon National Snack Ranking.
In Niigata, it is said that if you go to Yahiko,
you should definitely eat panda-yaki.

弥彦公園で紅葉狩りをした後、早速買ってみました。
お店は弥彦公園のすぐ近くにありましたよ。
見た目は白いパンダ、レトロな雰囲気がなんともいえない可愛さです。
さわり心地はもちもち。
かなり温かいです！
ririは小豆味を買いました。
周りを見ると緑色の餡のものを買って食べている方が多かったです。

at Yahiko Park.

When I looked around,
I saw that many people were buying and eating the green bean paste ones.

触ってみて、もちもちなのがわかりましたが、
ちぎってみて白い生地の弾力にさらにびっくり。
お饅頭みたいな生地かなぁと思っていましたが、
むしろ餅に近い感じです！
この顔、憎めない感じです笑

When I touched it, I could tell it was sticky.
I was even more surprised at the elasticity of the white dough
when I tore it apart.
I was expecting it to be more like a bun.
But it’s more like a rice cake!
This face, it’s like I can’t hate it lol.

もちもちな生地にしっかりとつぶあんが詰まっています。
中もしっかり熱々でした。
食べてみると、あんこの甘さは甘すぎず、
生地はほんのり甘く、
全体的な甘さがちょうどいい塩梅でした。
生地の食感が絶妙な弾力で食べ応えがあり、
「本当においしい！」と感動するほどのお味でした。
紅葉を見て体が少し冷えているところで
温かいパンダ焼きを食べて心地よかったです◎
