和風ジェラートおかじにベビーカーで寄ってみた
Stopped by Japanese Gelato Okaji with a stroller.

上堰潟公園へ行った帰り道に、和風ジェラートおかじという気になるお店発見！
小腹も空いていたので、寄ってみました。

On the way back from a visit to Uwasekigata Park, I found an intriguing store called Japanese Gelato Okaji!
I was hungry, so I stopped by.

Let’s enter the shop!

おかじさんはベビーカーで入店可能でした。

Okaji was able to enter the restaurant with a stroller.

コロナ禍で感染予防対策のため、店内での飲食は禁止されていました。

Eating and drinking were prohibited in the restaurant
due to the corona disaster and infection control measures.

ジェラートを選ぶ前に、お持ち帰り用カップアイス発見！
300円のものと400円のものがありました。
保冷パックセットも150円で購入できるそう。

Before I could choose my gelato, I found cups of ice cream to take home!
There was one for 300 yen and one for 400 yen.
They also have a cold pack set available for 150 yen.

店内を進んで、さあ、ジェラートを選びます。
Proceed through the store, and now, choose my gelato.

などなど、色々な和風中心なお味のジェラートが！
全部美味しそうで迷ってしまいます…！
ここでしか食べられなさそうなお味のジェラートもたくさんですね。

産後ダイエット中ですが、歩きに歩いてヘトヘトでしたので、
元気をチャージするため(という言い訳？笑)、
いただくことにしました。

I am on a postpartum diet, but I was exhausted from all the walking.
I decided to have some to recharge my energy (that’s my excuse, lol).

迷いに迷って「かりんとう」のジェラートを購入。
塩味ジェラートの中に、本当に砕かれたかりんとうが入っていました。
甘さはそこまで甘さが主張しているわけでなく、
爽やかな甘さで食べやすかったです。
かりんとうも湿っておらず、カリカリな食感が嬉しかった！

After much hesitation, I bought the “Karinto” gelato.
It was a salt-flavored gelato with a really crushed karinto inside.
The sweetness was not that insistent.
It was refreshingly sweet and easy to eat.
And the karinto wasn’t wet either,
which made me glad it had a crunchy texture!
