新潟県立近代美術館へ行った後はお昼ご飯の時間です。
新潟と言ったらラーメンです！
新潟の4大ラーメンの一つに数えられる長岡の長岡生姜醤油ラーメン。
長岡に来て食べないという選択肢はありませんでした！
riri達は近代美術館から車で5分のラーメン屋さん、
ラーメンたいちに行くことにしました。

After visiting the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art,

When we say Niigata, we mean ramen!
Nagaoka ginger soy sauce ramen from Nagaoka is
one of the four best ramen in Niigata.
There was no choice not to try it in Nagaoka!
We decided to go to Ramen Taichi,
a 5-minute drive from the Museum of Modern Art.

平日でしたが、開店20分前にお店に着きました。
もう1組入り口に並んでいるお客さんが。
人気店なのですね。
その後、続々とお客さんが来ていました。
平日に確実に開店後すぐ着席したい方は、
開店10分前までにはお店に行った方が良さそうです。

Five minutes by car from the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art.
It was a weekday, but I arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes before opening.
There was another customer waiting in line at the entrance.
It seems to be a very popular restaurant.
After that, customers arrived one after another.
If you want to be seated right after the restaurant opens on a weekday,
you should go to the restaurant at least 10 minutes before the opening.

開店前にもう予め食券を買うようになっていました。

Before the restaurant opened, we had already started buying meal tickets in advance.

ラーメンたいちさんの「正油ラーメン」は、生姜醤油ラーメンのことのようです。
普通盛りと大盛りどちらにしよう…？かなり迷いました。
いやいや、今は産後ダイエット中です。
自分を戒めて普通盛りにしました。
その後この選択が正解だったことに気付かされます。

Ramen Taichi’s “Shoyu Ramen” seems to be a ginger soy sauce ramen.
Should I get a regular serving or a large serving?
I was quite confused.
No, no, I am on a postpartum diet now.
So I decided to go with the regular serving.
Later, I realized that this was the right choice.

いざ、入店

開店時間11時になり、入店。
入店前に店員さんに赤ちゃんがいることを伝えると、
カウンター席でなく、テーブル席に案内してくださいました。

The store opens at 11:00 a.m. and we enter.
Before entering the restaurant,
I told the waitress that I had a baby.
She guided us to a table instead of a counter seat.

いざ、実食

着席後5分くらいして、待ち望んだ長岡生姜醤油ラーメンがやってきました！
シンプルな見た目で、洗練されているイメージです。
お、美味しそう〜！

About five minutes after we were seated, the long awaited Nagaoka Ginger Shoyu Ramen arrived!
It looks simple and sophisticated.
Oh, it looks delicious!

食べてみると、あっさりとしたスープの中に生姜がちょうどよく主張していて、
見た目通りシンプルなようで、奥が深い味でした。
ぱくぱくいけてしまいます。
長岡の生姜醤油ラーメン、美味しすぎる！最高です。

When I tried it, the ginger asserted itself just right in the light broth. The taste was as simple as it looked, but it was deep and profound.
I could not stop eating it.
Nagaoka’s ginger soy sauce ramen is too good! It was amazing.

旦那さんが頼んだ大盛りのラーメンです。
写真では分かりづらいのですが、とてもとてもとても大きな器！！
えぇ〜、こんな大きな器見たことない！
全部食べ切った旦那さんに拍手でした。
(量はすごいのですが、あっさりした味付けなので、スルスルいけたそう。)

This is the large bowl of ramen my husband ordered.
It’s hard to tell from the picture,
but it’s a very, very, very big bowl!
Wow, I have never seen such a big bowl!
I applauded my husband for eating it all up.
(The amount of food was huge,
but it was lightly seasoned, so he said it went down smoothly.)
